The Colorado Rockies (24-34) are on a four-game losing streaking entering Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Angels (31-29). The team lost the last two games against the Arizona Diamondbacks and has dropped the first two games of this three-game series against the Angels. Will they be able to staunch the bleeding and win on Sunday?
The Rockies turn to Christian Friedrich (4-1, 4.50 ERA) to end the losing. Friedrich has won three games in a row, including the Rockies' last victory. He threw seven shutout innings against the Diamondbacks in a 4-0 win. That start rivals his second career start, which saw him allow one run in seven innings and strike out 10. However, he took a no-decision in what turned into a 3-2 Rockies loss.
Ervin Santana (2-7, 5.33 ERA) will look to pick up his first win in nearly a month. Since May 15, Santana has is 0-1 in three starts, losing his last outing. The Seattle Mariners were able to hit Santana for seven runs in 4.2 innings, but six walks also had plenty to do with that. In those three no-decisions before that, Santana allowed 11 runs in 16 innings.
