Dodgers Vs. Rockies: Josh Outman On Strict Pitch Count For Friday

The Colorado Rockies are looking for a solid pitching performance from Josh Outman when he makes his first start of the year on Friday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He won't have long to make an impression, however. Outman has been used in relief so far this year, and according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post Outman will be limited to 50 pitches and then long reliever Carlos Torres will likely take over.

Even with the strict pitch count, Outman sees this as an opportunity to join the rotation long-term, saying "[t]he way this was presented to me is that it wasn't a spot start. That I would have more opportunities."

Here is the game time and TV information for Friday's game:

Game time/date: 6:40 p.m. MT, Friday, June 1

Location: Coors Field, Denver, CO

TV/Radio: ROOT Sports / 850KOA
