Jorge De La Rosa Injury Update: Rockies Pitcher Will Join Double-A Tulsa Drillers For Saturday Start

Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa continues to make his way back from a torn ulnar collateral ligament and subsequent Tommy John surgery. After two starts with the Advanced-A Modesto Nuts, De La Rosa will join the Double-A Tulsa Drillers for a rehab start on Saturday, according to Troy Renck:

De La Rosa threw 5.2 innings and posted a 4.76 ERA over his two starts. On Monday night, De La Rosa struggled against the San Jose Giants, allowing all four runs in 2.2 innings. The Giants hit four straight singles and took advantage of a fielding error by Timothy Smalling to score those runs in the second inning.

The Rockies expect to have De La Rosa back in the rotation at the start of June.
