Colorado Rockies pitcher Jhoulys Chacin was removed from the team's 25-man roster last week and was expected to go to the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox, but that now appears to not be the case. Instead, Chacin might be placed on the disabled list, which would prompt another roster move to make that happen.
We just confirmed @TroyRenck's report on Jhoulys - The Venezuelan Pitcher is likely to go on the DL due to health issues #LosRockies

It's just a matter of waiting for a #Rockies decision on Jhoulys - in order to put him on the DL they will have to make a roster move

There are no indications yet as to what injury Chacin might be suffering from -- though Troy Renck mentions dead arm -- but this would help explain his poor season so far: 7.30 ERA in 24.1 innings, seven home runs allowed and 15 walks.
