The Colorado Rockies are hosting the Atlanta Braves on Friday as the two teams kick off their first series of the 2012 season. The Rockies are also looking for their first back-to-back wins since April 20 as they've struggled to find any sort of consistency.
After dropping two-of-three in consecutive series to the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets, the Rockies managed to take two-of-three from the Los Angeles Dodgers in their most recent series. The Dodgers have been playing well all season, and the Braves have similarly been one of the NL's better teams early on.
Guillermo Moscoso is starting for the second time this season after getting battered around on April 28. In that start, he gave up six runs in five innings to the Mets, but he has a relatively solid 3.72 ERA over 147 career big league innings. The Braves have veteran starter Tim Hudson on the mound for his second start of the season after dealing with some early spring injuries.
Game time/date: 6:40 p.m. MT, Friday, May 4, 2012
Location: Coors Field, Denver, CO
TV/Radio: ROOT Sports/850 KOA
