Astros Vs. Rockies Final Score: Colorado Defeats Houston 9-7 In Game 1 Of Doubleheader

Juan Nicasio struggled in his start for the Rockies on Monday afternoon, but Colorado's offense was there to pick him up and lead the team to a 9-7 victory over the Houston Astros.

Nicasio pitched six innings but gave up nine hits and six runs (five earned) in the process. Wandy Rodriguez was no better for the Astros, giving up seven runs (four earned) off of 10 hits in five innings or work.

Jordan Pacheco broke a 7-7 tie in the eighth and provided the winning runs with a two-RBI single; he was 2-5 on the day. Troy Tulowitzki and Dexter Fowler had three hits apiece.

Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader begins at 6:10 p.m. MT.
