After finally breaking a six-game win streak by beating the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies travel to Cincinnati to begin a series against the Reds on Friday. The Rockies are trying to break out of a funk that's seen the team go 4-14 over its past 18 games.

On the mound for Colorado will be rookie Christian Friedrich, who is looking to bounce back from his first really poor start of his short MLB career. After allowing just three runs over his first two starts, the lefty gave up eight runs in five innings against the Seattle Mariners on May 19.

The Reds have ace pitcher Johnny Cueto making the start on Friday as he looks to improve his 5-1 win-loss record. Through nine starts this year, the 26-year-old has a 1.97 ERA over 59 innings with 38 strikeouts and just 12 walks. Only Atlanta's Brandon Beachy and reigning Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw have lower ERA's among qualified NL starters so far this season.

Game time/date: 5:10 p.m. MT, Friday, May 25, 2012

Location: Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati, Ohio
