Rockies Vs. Marlins: Colorado Makes 1st Trip To New Miami Stadium

The Colorado Rockies are on the road to play the Miami Marlins. Can they end a four-game losing streak?

If the Colorado Rockies hit rock bottom over the weekend by losing all three games to the Seattle Mariners, this road trip against the Miami Marlins would be as good a time as any to give some semblance of being a team that can play baseball. Maybe they'll be able to christen their maiden trip to the new Marlins Park with a series victory (it might be too much to ask for three wins. Two certainly could be doable.).

Jamie Moyer (2-3, 4.20 ERA) was the pitcher of record for the Rockies in the team's last win, a 6-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday. He ended a string of poor starts with 6.1 innings of one-run ball, walking two and striking out five. Ca he stop the bleeding for the Rockies on Monday night?

If Moyer can take care of the Marlins' bats, the Rockies' offense will need to get to Mark Buehrle (3-4, 3.17 ERA). Despite giving up four runs in six innings in his last start, Buehrle had the support of his offense in an 8-4 win over the Atlanta Braves. Overall, May has been a strong month for Buehrle, posting two wins, a 2.91 ERA and a 1.108 WHIP in 21.2 innings. This will be just Buehrle's second career start against the Rockies.

Just no home run machine celebrations for the Marlins (video), please.
