Rockies Vs. Mariners Score Update: Rockies Hitless Through Five Innings

Detroit Tigers starter Justin Verlander was two outs from a no-hitter tonight vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates; Seattle Mariners starter Kevin Millwood is quite a bit a way from that point, but he is clean through five innings tonight vs. the Colorado Rockies. Through five, along with not giving up a hit, Millwood has struck out five batters and walked one.

Millwood has been mediocre at best this year for the Mariners, putting up a 4.53 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP, though both numbers have been aided greatly by Seattle's spacious Safeco Field. In four starts in Coors Field last season, Millwood put up an ERA up near 7.

In tonight's game, the Mariners have gotten out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a Kyle Seager single and a Mike Carp home run.
