The Colorado Rockies enter Friday night's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers in high spirits, one would suspect, because they ended a five-game winning streak on Wednesday. On the strength of a strong major league debut by pitcher Christian Friedrich and lively bats, the Rockies picked up a 6-2 victory. But can that small success carry over to Chavez Ravine, where the Rockies will play the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend?

The team turns to Jamie Moyer (1-2, 4.01 ERA) to open the series on Friday. Moyer had been the Rockies' best start for the first month of the season, but have not gone well. He's pitched 10-plus innings and allowed 10 runs over that span. He's surrendered 21 hits, three for home runs. Will he be able to turn things around at Dodger Stadium?

Chris Capuano (4-0, 2.21 ERA) is out to preserve his undefeated record and to extend his winning streak to four games. After allowing four runs in his season debut back on April 7, Capuano has allowed two runs (twice), one run and zero runs (twice). Those two games of zero runs allowed came in his last two starts, a 2-0 win over the Washington Nationals and a 5-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs. He struck out 16 over 13.2 innings. He is 4-5 with a 3.68 ERA in 11 career games against the Rockies.
