Rockies Vs. Astros Final Score: Colorado Loses 3-2

The Colorado Rockies blew a one-run lead in the eighth inning of a 3-2 loss against the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon. Going into the bottom of the eighth inning, the Rockies were leading 2-1, but the Astros rallied against Rockies' reliever Rex Brothers to pull off the win.

With two outs in the eighth inning, the Astros got back-to-back singles from Jose Altuve and J.D. Martinez to put the winning run on the basepaths. A costly throwing error by Jordan Pacheco at third base on the next batter, Carlos Lee, allowed Altuve to score while putting two men in scoring position. A single by Brian Bogusevic, the next hitter, proved to be a game-winner.

Juan Nicasio pitched well for the Rockies in a starting role, allowing one run on five hits while striking out four and walking one over seven innings of work. Colorado was only able to muster five hits, including the two-run home run by Wilin Rosario in the fourth inning that provided both of the Rockies' runs. Jason Giambi added three walks.
