Drew Pomeranz Injury: Rockies Pitcher Leaves Game With Injury

Colorado Rockies lefty pitcher Drew Pomeranz has left Friday night's game against the New York Mets with left forearm tightness, according to the Denver Post's Troy Renck. Pomeranz had allowed two runs (one earned) through four innings, striking four and walking three. He allowed one of the runs on a Scott Hairston home run.

When the Rockies came out for the top of the fifth inning, Pomeranz was nowhere to be seen. Esmil Rogers came out and had some extra pitches to warm up. And that's when the flood gates opened and the Mets took a 6-2 lead. Scott Hairston moved closer to the cycle with an RBI triple while Lucas Duda, Mike Nickeas and pitcher Chris Schwinden each had an RBI single in the inning.

Hairston needs just a double to complete the cycle.
