Rockies Vs. Brewers: Colorado, Milwaukee Vie For Series Victory In Rubber Game

The Colorado Rockies finish their trip to Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon with a chance at capturing a series victory over the Brewers. The Rockies missed that chance on Saturday night when a six-run seventh inning by the Brewers doomed Colorado to a 9-4 loss.

Jeremy Guthrie (1-1, 7.79 ERA) is making his first road start of the season since defeating the Astros in Houston to open up the season. Guthrie's last start was an improvement from his first game at Coors Field -- only in terms of innings pitched. He allowed six runs in each start, but managed to tough out seven innings against the Padres on Monday.

Yovani Gallardo (1-1, 4.58 ERA) has put together two solid starts since allowing six runs in 3.2 innings on Opening Day. On the road against the Cubs, Gallardo surrendered just one run over five innings while striking out six. He followed that up with two runs allowed over seven innings against the Dodgers at Miller Park. He struck out seven in the game. He is 0-4 with a 6.69 ERA in seven career games (six starts) against the Rockies.
