In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Colorado Rockies held a 2-0 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers, thanks to a Troy Tulowitzki RBI double and a Jhoulys Chacin RBI single. Chacin was also dealing on the mound with four strikeouts through three innings. Oh, and no hits or walks allowed. And then the bottom of the fourth inning came.
After Rickie Weeks grounded out to start the inning, Norichika Aoki hit what should have been a single. Should have been. However, left fielder Carlos Gonzalez decided to make a dive on the play, which allowed the ball to roll to the wall. Aoki was well aware of this and put his head down to run. And run he did -- all the way to home plate for an inside the park home run.
The Rockies hold a 2-1 lead over the Brewers through the top half of the fifth inning.
