The Colorado Rockies announced a roster move on Monday afternoon: pitcher Alex White has been sent to the minor leagues, though he will stay with the team through Wednesday once the Rockies finish their spring training schedule:

This move likely clears a spot for Tyler Chatwood, acquired during the offseason for Chris Iannetta, in the bullpen. White was acquired last July along with Drew Pomeranz as the main pieces in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade. White has a 6.19 ERA in 16.2 innings this spring.
What remains to be seen is whether White will remain a reliever at Triple-A Colorado Springs or if he will return to starting. He is awaiting any potential legal issues from his earlier DUI this spring.
