The Colorado Rockies are trailing 3-0 to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fourth inning of Sunday afternoon's game as D-Backs starter Trevor Cahill has been superb thus far. The Rockies have mustered just two hits and a walk, failing to get a baserunner past first base in the first three frames.
Rockies starter Drew Pomeranz, called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs to appear in this game, has had mixed results in his 2012 debut. Over four innings, he's struck out two batters while giving up three runs on six hits and a walk. Cahill has struck out four in his three shutout innings of work.
Arizona initially took the lead in the first inning on a two-run homer from center fielder Chris Young. He's had an impressive game so far, going 2-for-2 with a single, a stolen base and the aforementioned home run. Wilin Rosario and Jonathan Herrera have provided Colorado's only hits.
