Diamondbacks Vs. Rockies: Colorado On The Hunt For 1st Winning Streak Of Season

The Colorado Rockies have failed to win back-to-back games this season, but they improved to 3-4 on Friday night following a 7-6 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Having alternated wins and losses since Wednesday, the Rockies once again have a shot at putting together a winning streak.

Jhoulys Chacin returns to the mound at Coors Field for the first time since he threw the home-opening loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday, a 7-0 decision. He was pulled after 90 pitches while pitching in the fifth inning, recording zero outs and allowing three baserunners. His final line had him at four innings pitched with four runs allowed on four hits and five walks.

The Diamondbacks counter with Josh Collmenter, a pitcher with an over the top delivery. In 25 innings over the 2011 season, Collmenter held a 2.81 ERA and a 0.935 WHIP with a 2-1 record. Collmenter wasn't too sharp to start the season against the Giants. He allowed six runs on five hits and a walk in three innings. Buster Posey hit a two-run homer off him.
