Cactus League 2012: Athletics, Rockies Clash On Friday Afternoon

The Colorado Rockies will look to end their three-game losing streak on Friday when they welcome the Oakland Athletics to Salt Rivers Fields at Talking Stick. But more important than ending a losing streak during Spring Training, Juan Nicasio will be on the mound in a game for the first time since he broke his neck last August.

Nicasio has progressed remarkably since that day in August and has no limitations as he goes through Spring Training. He is expected to be the Rockies' No. 4 starter in the rotation this season.

The Rockies will have a lineup around Nicasio that features all the expected Opening Day starters except for center fielder Dexter Fowler and catcher Ramon Hernandez. Charlie Blackmon and Wilin Rosario start in those positions, respectively, on Friday.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. MT and can be heard through MLB.com.

Here is the Rockies' lineup for Friday (via Troy Renck):

CF Charlie Blackmon
2B Marco Scutaro
LF Carlos Gonzalez
SS Troy Tulowitzki
1B Todd Helton
RF Michael Cuddyer
3B Casey Blake
C Wilin Rosario
P Juan Nicaso
