The Colorado Rockies are back at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on Thursday afternoon for a game against the Kansas City Royals. A two-game losing streak follows the Rockies back home, but Drew Pomeranz will be back on the mound for his second appearance of the spring. He threw two shutout innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Casey Blake plays his second game of the spring while we get a lineup of mostly backups with him. Dexter Fowler and Ramon Hernandez are the only other projected starters in the lineup on Thursday. Left fielder Tim Wheeler is a potential call-up during the season for the Rockies.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. MT and can be heard through MLB.com audio.
Here is the Rockies' starting lineup:
CF Dexter Fowler
2B Johnny Herrera
1B Jordan Pacheco
DH Jason Giambi
C Ramon Hernandez
RF Tyler Colvin
3B Casey Blake
SS Chris Nelson
LF Tim Wheeler
LHP Drew Pomeranz
