White Sox Vs. Rockies: Jamie Moyer Keeps Plugging Away, Faces Chicago

The Colorado Rockies avoided being no-hit yesterday by Patrick Corbin and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday when Jeremy Guthrie singled off Craig Breslow in the top of the sixth inning. But they lost that game, 7-3, heading into Wednesday's contest against a split-squad Chicago White Sox team.

Starting for the Rockies will be the ageless wonder (actually 49 years old) Jamie Moyer, who is pitching for the No. 5 spot in the rotation. In his last start, Moyer picked up his second win of spring training (for whatever that is worth), allowed zero hits and zero walks and struck out four in four innings. Gavin Floyd will oppose him.

Dexter Fowler returns to the leadoff spot in the batting order one day after a move to the eight hole. Jonathan Herrera draws the start at shortstop while Troy Tulowitzki receives some rest as we close out spring training.

Here is the Rockies' lineup (via Troy Renck):

CF Dexter Fowler
SS Jonathan Herrera
LF Carlos Gonzalez
DH Jason Giambi
1B Todd Helton
RF Michael Cuddyer
3B Jordan Pacheco
2B Chris Nelson
C Wilin Rosario
LHP Jamie Moyer
