Cactus League 2012: Rockies Defeat Dodgers In Walkoff On Saturday, Will Play Onle 1 Game On Sunday

The Colorado Rockies picked up an 8-6 win in dramatic fashion on Saturday afternoon when Tim Wheeler hit a two-run walkoff home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. The Rockies held a 6-2 lead entering the top of the ninth, but closer Rafael Betancourt had a blip on the radar by allowing four runs. Three singles, two doubles and a sacrifice fly later, four runners crossed home plate.

But earlier in the game, expected Opening Day starter Jeremy Guthrie was working fast and efficiently, but he did run into troubles late in his appearance. He allowed one run in 4.2 innings

On Sunday, the Rockies will be playing only one game, as the contest against the San Diego Padres has been canceled due to rain. However, the Rockies will play the Seattle Mariners, as originally planned.
