Baseball America has released it latest its rankings of the 2012 Top 100 Prospect, featuring four different Rockies prospects. LHP Drew Pomeranz came in top among the Rockies players, earning a No. 30 placement:

Pomeranz pitched 12 and 1/3 innings in the majors in 2012, earning a 5.40 ERA while striking out 6.4 batters per 9 innings and walking 2.5 batters per 9. In his 101 minor league innings, Pomeranz held an impressive 1.78 ERA while splitting time between High-A and Double-A.
In addition to Pomeranz, the Rockies also placed 3B Nolan Arenado at No. 42. The 20-year-old Arenado hit a strong .298/.349/.487 slash in 583 High-A plate appearances. Baseball America anticipates Arenado will reach the majors in 2013.
