A war of words, well, if we really want to call it that, has taken place between Colorado Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd and pitcher Jhoulys Chacin, the team's No. 1 starter. O'Dowd has questioned Chacin's work ethic and conditioning, even claiming the pitcher has been overweight.
↵Over at Purple Row, we learn that Chacin believes O'Dowd isn't getting reliable information:
↵↵↵"I came to Arizona this past Monday. I have not stopped training during the winter, both in my country and here. I have always done the best job I could all throughout these past few months," Chacin said. "I don't know where these comments came from, I believe they're the result of what other people have told him, instead of his own personal evaluation".
