Chad Bettis Ranked As No. 66 Top Baseball Prospect By MLB.com

A new baseball season is almost upon us and that means it's time for top prospects list to arrive. MLB.com has released its top 100 list. The Colorado Rockies have four players to appear on the list.

At No. 66, right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis is the lowest-ranked Rockies prospect. Bettis was drafted in the second round of the 2010 draft and made his full season debut with the Modesto Nuts in 2011, showing a knack for striking out batters (184 in 170 innings). He'll need to show that he can handle Double-A batters this season as a starter, and that means he needs a third pitch. If he can't develop that pitch he could turn into a top-notch closer.

He was rated the No. 3 Rockies prospect by Baseball America.
