Colorado Rockies Spring Training 2012 Report Dates Announced

The Colorado Rockies announced Feb. 19 as the report date for pitchers and catchers.

The Colorado Rockies are just counting down the days until Spring Training starts. The report dates for the organization have just been released, reports the Denver Post's Troy Renck. Pitchers and catchers will report to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on Sunday, Feb. 19 before starting workouts the next day. The first full squad workout will follow on Feb. 27.

This will be the second year the Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks will be at Salt River Fields for Spring Training. The Rockies' old facility, Hi Corbett Field, will be used by the Arizona Wildcats baseball team for its home games in 2012.

For those keeping track, that's only 39 days until pitchers and catchers report. Those are two of the most important words to all baseball fans and then it means it's only a couple of weeks until the Rockies play its first Spring Training game against the Diamondbacks on March 3.
