Rockies Vs. Astros Preview: Kevin Millwood Out To Continue Colorado's Winning Ways

The Colorado Rockies ended their nine-game losing streak on Saturday night with a 13-inning 4-2 victory over the Houston Astros. Now the Rockies need to build on that with a second victory over the Astros. They will need to do so with Kevin Millwood on the mound.

Kevin Millwood (3-3, 4.56 ERA) was absolutely pounded by the San Diego Padres in his last start. He left with two outs to go in the fourth inning after allowing seven runs on nine hits. He saw the Padres hit two two-run home runs in that fourth inning. Millwood is 4-1 with a 3.20 ERA in six starts at Minute Maid Park, but his last start came in 2008 (when he allowed seven runs in five innings).

Lucas Harrell (0-1, 2.00 ERA) was claimed off waivers by the Astros in July after the pitcher spent parts of 2010 and 2011 with the White Sox. He made his Astros debut on Sept. 2, throwing 5-1/3 innings of shutout balls. However, he has been used a reliever in three appearances since then.

First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. MT.
