Which Baseball Player Would You Rather Have?

With just seven games left in the season, the Colorado Rockies will need to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to correct the multitude failures of the 2011 season. Of course, there has been and will continue to be questions of whom the Rockies should have signed last season. Take a look after the jump.

Season Player G PA H HR R RBI SB ISO BABIP AVG OBP SLG wOBA wRC+ WAR
2011 A 123 419 92 15 48 46 8 0.179 0.268 0.245 0.321 0.424 0.328 97 0.5
2011 B 138 558 139 31 85 91 2 0.255 0.311 0.300 0.412 0.555 0.404 160 4.6

Both guys here were pursued by the Colorado Rockies during the offseason, but only one signed with them. Clearly, anyone looking at the numbers for both players should be able to tell that Player A was a Rockie. His numbers fit in with the non-production of the team's 2011 season.

Player A, of course, is Ty Wigginton, who signed a two-year contract with the Rockies in December. Player B is Lance Berkman, who is competing for a Wild Card spot with the St. Louis Cardinals. He has reportedly signed an extension.

That's 2011 for you.
