Colorado Rockies Out To Start A Sunday Winning Streak With Game Against Los Angeles Dodgers

The Colorado Rockies took an early lead against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, but Rafael Betancourt allowed a home run to James Loney in the ninth inning to tie the game at sixth. In the 11th inning, Matt Kemp won the game for the Dodgers with a solo shot against Jason Hammel.

The Rockies enter Sunday's game having won last Sunday, the first time since April. They will not want to revert to their old ways. They will have Jhoulys Chacin (10-10, 3.49 ERA) on the mound to continue that success. On July 26, Chacin took the loss in a 3-2 contest against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. On Monday, Chacin had a start in which scattering is the correct term for what he did. He allowed 11 hits but just one run in seven innings.

Nathan Eovaldi (1-1, 2.05 ERA) is making just his fifth career start. He came up on Aug. 6 and defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks after allowing two runs in five innings. On Aug. 22, he received a no-decision after allowing one run in five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. He runs his fastball up to the mid-90s and works with a curveball and a changeup as well.

First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. MT.
