The Colorado Rockies leave Cincinnati after splitting the series and losing the last two games of the four-game contest. The Rockies will now head to St. Louis for a weekend series with the St. Louis Cardinals. At the end of May, the Rockies lost two of three to the Cardinals at home, winning Juan Nicasio's first major league start.

On Friday, Aaron Cook (2-6, 5.05 ERA) takes the mound against the Cards. After neck spasms forced him out after four innings in a start against the Phillies, Cook came back with a solid effort against the Nationals. He allowed two runs in 6-2/3 innings. At the new Busch Stadium, Cook is 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA in three career starts.

Kyle Lohse (9-7, 3.45 ERA) allowed two runs in six inning against the Rockies on May 29. As of late, Lohse has had trouble getting past the fifth inning, doing it just twice in his last seven outings. He made it through just three innings on Aug. 4, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks. His next start was then pushed back to against the Rockies.

First pitch is scheduled 6:15 p.m. MT.
