2011 MLB All-Star Rosters: Jose Reyes Beats Out Troy Tulowitzki At SS In National League

The rosters for the 2011 MLB All-Star Game were announced on Sunday afternoon and a late charge by the New York Mets' Jose Reyes in stadium- and online-voting gave him the edge for the start at the shortstop for the National League over the Colorado Rockies' Troy Tulowitzki. However, Tulowitzki did make the team as a reserve, his second time as an All-Star. Barring an injury over the next week of play, it will also be Tulowitzki's first time playing in the game, missing 2010's due to injury.

No starter on the team is from the NL West, but San Diego has Heath Bell on the team; Arizona has Justin Upton; Los Angeles has Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw; and San Francisco placed Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, Ryan Vogelsong and Brian Wilson.

The All-Star Game will be played on July 12 at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
