Ubaldo Jimenez Trade Rumors: Deal Is '50-50' At This Point, According To Report

We're roughly six days away from the 2011 MLB Deadline and Ubaldo Jimenez's trade status is still up in the air. Most reports have a Jimenez trade as a long shot given the Colorado Rockies' stance on need to receive a king's ransom for him. But now Fox Sports' Jon Paul Morosi is tweeting that his source believes a deal could be "50-50" at this moment.

That would seem to indicate that there are teams thinking about paying the Rockies' asking price for the 27-year-old pitcher. The Cincinnati Reds are still interested, having been the first team connected with Jimenez. Would the Reds trade catcher Devin Mesoraco or Yonder Alonso? Pitchers Homer Bailey, Mike Leake, Travis Wood and Edinson Volquez have all been connected in recent weeks.

With the Rockies expected to make a few moves before the trade deadline, much work remains to be done.
