(VIDEO) Eric Byrnes Knocks Down Harold Reynolds On MLB Network

In Monday's makeup game between the Chicago Cubs and the Colorado Rockies, there was an interesting part to a play in foul territory. The ball was trending toward the seats while three Rockies fielders attempted to converge on the ball for the out: LF Charlie Blackmon, 3B Ty Wigginton and SS Troy Tulowitzki.

The Cub's bullpen is right where the players were heading to, and the pitchers in front of the warm up area all vacate their positions to allow the fielders to get to ball. But catcher Koyie Hill stays on his chair and doesn't move as Blackmon tries to get to the ball. He doesn't get it, and on his way back, Blackmon glares at Hill. The umpire forced Hill to move his chair a few inches.

MLB Network covered this and here's video of what happened during their broadcast:

BAM! Eric Byrnes comes from left field and lays out Harold Reynolds when the two demonstrate how the situation could have been handled. And that was a real hit, no faking from Reynolds on that. Of course, I still find the former Rockie (all of a few days) kind of annoying.
