Rockies Final Score: Giants Win Walk Off Against Colorado, 4-3

Coming into this game, all of the storylines surrounded Ubaldo Jimenez. Was his arm healthy? Has he recovered from his early season struggles? Jimenez wasn't as sharp as his 2010 version, but he turned in his best start of the 2011 season by pitching six strong innings, striking out seven and only allowing two hits.

Troy Tulowitzki broke out of his recent slide with a crushing home run to left field against San Francisco starter Matt Cain, his eighth of the season. Jonathan Herrera singled in the third inning, scoring Chris Iannetta. A Carlos Gonzalez sacrifice fly to the warning track in left field scored Fowler immediately afterwards.

Unfortunately, the Rockies bullpen couldn't maintain the lead for the second straight night. Mike Fontenot tripled off Jimenez, eventually scoring and cutting the lead to 3-1. In the eighth inning, with runners on second and third, Nate Schierholtz doubled down the left field line scoring both runners and tying the game. The Giants would win in walkoff fashion in the bottom of the ninth. Cody Ross led off the inning with a double down the right field line off Rockies pitcher Felipe Paulino, and eventually scored on a Freddy Sanchez grounder up the middle that fell just out of Tulowitzki's reach.

With Esmil Rogers heading to the Disabled List, the Rockies now look to Clayton Mortensen to stop their two game losing streak. He will face off against Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. MDT.
