Jorge De La Rosa Leaves Game With Elbow Soreness

With runners on second and third base and one out completed in the third inning, Colorado Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa left the game with an injury. De La Rosa's injury condition is not yet known. De La Rosa had a blister injury earlier in the season, but the medical staff was able to deal with it effectively. There is some speculation that it could be his elbow, but no one is sure yet.

UPDATE: The Rockies announced he is out with left elbow soreness.

Greg Reynolds had to warm up quickly to fill in for the injured De La Rosa. Reynolds was recalled over the weekend after the Rockies designated for assignment reliever Felipe Paulino. The Rockies needed an extra starter with the doubleheader, and Reynolds was expected to fill in on Saturday. However, he was also expected to be available for long relief.

As things turned out, Reynolds had to make that emergency appearance, but this could lead to more roster shuffling later on.
