Rockies To Play Split-Squad Games Against Cubs, White Sox

The Colorado Rockies play their first split-squad games of the season against the ball players from the Chicago Cubs and from the Chicago White Sox. Jorge De La Rosa faces the Cubs' Carlos Zambrano at Salt River Fields. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. MT. Felipe Paulino travels to Glendale to start against the White Sox's John Danks. Jim Armstrong has the full breakdown of who else will pitch in either game for the Rockies.

For Paulino, he continues his pursuit of the team's fifth spot in the rotation because it is becoming clearer that Aaron Cook will not be ready for the start of the season. Paulino is competing with Esmil Rogers for that spot.

While there will be no local radio or TV for this game, MLB.com will have special audio for the game.
