Greg Reynolds received an extra day of rest when the Colorado Rockies had to cancel their 'B' game on Thursday, allowing them to pitch Ubaldo Jimenez in their game against the Chicago White Sox. It wasn't a pleasant game for Jimenez, who didn't miss many bats in that performance. Reynolds will look to avoid the trap of extra rest and give the Rockies another victory in March.
Ostensibly, Reynolds is still in the race for the team's fifth starter role, but Esmil Rogers has a tight grip on that as of now. That Reynolds is in consideration for the spot is a huge gain for him after having had limited success in his short stint in the majors and then coming back from injury in 2010.
First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. MT.
