White Sox Vs. Rockies: Ubaldo Jimenez Gets Bumped To 'A' Game

The Colorado Rockies planned to start Ubaldo Jimenez in a 'B' game on Thursday, but those plans fell through when it was canceled. Instead, as Thomas Harding reports, Jimenez will start today's game against the Chicago White Sox, pushing Greg Reynolds' start to Friday against the Brewers. Jorge De La Rosa will start a "B' game that day as well.

Today's lineup is:

RF Seth Smith
SS Jonathan Herrera
CF Carlos Gonzalez
2B Jose Lopez
1B Todd Helton
3B Ian Stewart
C Chris Iannetta
LF Cole Garner
P Jimenez

These batters will face Edwin Jackson, who had previously been with the Arizona Diamondbacks for part of the 2010 season. He was traded at the July deadline for Daniel Hudson and another player. Hudson will start the team's second game of the season against the Rockies.

Most eyes will continue to be on Ian Stewart to see if he will be ready in time for Opening Day. In yesterday's wild game with the Rangers, Stewart went 1-for-2 with a walk.

Today being St. Patrick's Day, the Rockies will wear hats with a green "CR." First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m. MT.
