Silver Slugger Winners 2011: Troy Tulowitzki Wins 2nd Consecutive Award At Shortstop

Tory Tulowitzki won his second consecutive Silver Slugger award at shortstop.

Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki added more offseason hardware to his trophy case by capturing his second consecutive Silver Slugger award at the position. He won his second Gold Glove at shortstop on Tuesday night.

Tulowitzki hit .302/.372/.544 with 30 home runs and 105 RBI. The RBI total was a career high, as well as his 36 doubles. However, New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes did give Tulowitzki a run for his money. Reyes led the National League with a .337 batting average and 16 triples. Reyes' OPS was just .877 to Tulowitzki's .916.
