St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) – Matt Pagnozzi drove in two runs and Jeff Suppan tossed six scoreless innings, as the St. Louis Cardinals handled the Colorado Rockies, 6-1, in the final game of the season for both clubs.
Joe Mather and Brendan Ryan each had an RBI for the Cardinals (86-76), who ended the year with a five-game winning streak. Suppan (3-8) gave up five hits to go with five strikeouts and one walk.
Dexter Fowler hit a solo homer for the Rockies (83-79), who lost eight in a row and 13 of 14 to finish the season. Esmil Rogers (2-3) went four innings in the start, allowing four runs — two earned — on seven hits.
