Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that former hitting coach Don Baylor will join the Arizona Diamondbacks in the same capacity:
I am hearing that Dbacks will hire Don Baylor as their hitting instructor. I will keep you posted after I confirm the news
Baylor had been the Rockies’ hitting instructor for the last two years, first under Clint Hurdle and then Jim Tracy. Baylor, who had hoped for a managerial job, lost the Toronto Blue Jays’ opening to John Farrell. In Arizona, Baylor joins Eric Young Sr., who was recently named the first base coach.
