New York Yankee Derek Jeter Praises Colorado Rockie Troy Tulowitzki

The Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has a baseball idol in New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. Except for his short stint in 2006 with the Rockies when he wore no. 14, Troy Tulowitzki has worn no. 2 on his jersey, Jeter's number with the Yankees. Tulowitzki's been talking about Derek Jeter since 2007, and  the New York Times has a 2010 article titled, "Troy Tulowitzki, the Derek Jeter of the Rockies."

Yankee Derek Jeter follows Troy Tulowitzki from afar. "He had another great season, huh?" he said. "I like his game."

But for all the talk of Troy Tulowitzki idolizing Derek Jeter, Jeter is no Tulowitzki on defense. Of course, Tulowitzki has been snubbed for a Gold Glove over the years, unlike Derek Jeter, who has won a few Gold Gloves while having inferior defensive seasons.
