Colorado found itself on the bottom of the Western Conference following a loss to the Portland Timbers on Friday at Jeld-Wen Field, but they will get a quick chance at a turnaround. The two teams scraping the bottom of the conference will meet Wednesday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Hendry Thomas will be the man to keep an eye on for the Rapids, the new signing out of Wigan Athletic had a great match in his first ever MLS start, holding the midfield down for Colorado and giving Portland fits with his solid passing game. He will once again be in charge of keeping the ball away from the defense and keeper Matt Pickens while helping distribute it to Martin Rivero to help kick-start attacks.

The Rapids will also need to start putting the ball in the back of the net, of course. They have scored a meager two goals in their last three games, part of an ongoing saga of ineffective offense in 2012.

The game will be at Dick's Sporting Goods Park at 7 p.m. MT. You can watch the rematch of the bottom-of-the-west teams on NBC Sports, the second game in a row for the Rapids that will be featured on national television.
