Rapids Vs. Galaxy Final Score: Colorado Shut Out In Los Angeles, 2-0

The Colorado Rapids (9-18-2) continued their struggles through the last half of the MLS season when they were shut out by the Los Angeles Galaxy (14-11-4) by a score of 2-0 on Friday night.

Galaxy forward Robbie Keane started the scoring with a first half goal via a pass from Landon Donovan. In the second half, Swedish newcomer Christian Wilhelmsson added another goal for Los Angeles to put the game out of reach. The win lifted the Galaxy into a tie with Real Salt Lake for third place in the MLS Western Conference standings.

The Rapids have lost three of their last four matches and are 2-7-1 over their last ten with five matches remaining which leaves Colorado in seventh place in the West. Colorado returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 23, when they visit the Vancouver Whitecaps.
