The Colorado Rapids made a boost to their midfield over the weekend as they signed former Wigan Athletic midfielder Hendry Thomas. They are now continuing to put together more names that could be added to the middle of the park, as the team announced via their official website on Tuesday that they are hosting American midfielder Anton Peterlin on a trial.

Anton Peterlin, a 25-year-old American midfielder who has played the last three years in England, began a trial with the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday and participated in the full team training session at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The 25 year old has bounced around England the past several seasons, starting with Everton in the reserve side before moving on to League One where he played with Plymouth and Walsall. He has already started training with the team and may appear in a few reserve games for the Rapids as well as they decide if they want to take him on.

Colorado will face San Jose this weekend in MLS play.
