Rapids Vs. Chivas USA Final Score: Colorado Plays To 1-1 Draw

The Colorado Rapids tied Chivas USA, 1-1, in heartbreaking fashion Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids had the majority of the game's few scoring opportunities, with midfielder Brian Mullan providing the first half's only goal after stealing the ball from a Chivsas defender and shooting past goalkeeper Dan Kennedy in the 19th minute. It was his second goal of the campaign.

The game remained 1-0 in Colorado's favor until the 83rd minute, when veteran Chivas forward Juan Pablo Angel received a Tristan Bowen cross and slotted the ball into the Colorado goal. The goal was the fourth of the season for Angel.

The draw broke an eight-game losing streak for the Rapids, dating back to late June. Colorado remains eighth in the MLS Western Conference standings, eleven points out of playoff position with only nine games left to play.
