MLS Standings 2012: Colorado Rapids Sitting 10 Points Behind Real Salt Lake

The Colorado Rapids (6-6-1, 19 points) currently sit at No. 5 in the 2012 MLS Standings, but with five seasons remaining in the Major League Soccer, the Rapids have more than enough time to catch the first place Real Salt Lake (9-3-2, 29 points).

Of concern for the Rapids is their ever-slim goal difference, maintaining a 20-to-18 goals-to-goals-allowed ratio. The best six teams in the current MLS standings all have a goal difference of 7 goals or greater.
