The Los Angeles Galaxy may be the defending MLS Cup champions, but they have been far off that level so far in 2012. The Galaxy, who have been without David Beckham and Landon Donovan each for a game this season, are 2-3 heading into Saturday night's game vs. the Colorado Rapids, though they are coming off of an impressive 3-1 home victory over the Portland Timbers.

The bad news for the Rapids is that they aren't exactly coming into the match up on fire, either. Colorado has been shutout in its two last games— both losses— although they have won both of their matches at home this season. Both teams may be without a star each, as Colorado's Conor Casey isn't expected to play and Los Angeles' David Beckham may have to miss the game as he deals with a back injury.

A win on Saturday could vault the Rapids into the Western Conference's top three teams, while the floundering Galaxy are just looking to get out from hear the conference cellar.

Game date/time: 7:00 p.m. MT

Location: Dick's Sporting Goods Park, Denver, Colo.
