Rapids Vs. Sounders Update: Colorado Offense Struggles In Loss

The Colorado Rapids offense struggled once again, as the Rapids fell 1-0 to the Seattle Sounders. This is the second consecutive shutout for the Rapids and their third loss in the past four matches.

The lone goal of the game came in the 63rd minute, when Zach Scott scored the first goal of his career to give the Sounders the lead that they would not relinquish. The Rapids failed to generate many chances throughout the match, although an offside call did prevent them from taking an early lead. In the 33rd minute, Brian Mullan found the back of the net, but the goal was called back because he was in an offside position.

Hopefully the altitude of Denver will give the Rapids a boost, as they return home for their next two matches. Colorado will host the LA Galaxy next Saturday.
