The Colorado Rapids rebounded from a 4-1 loss in their last time out with a 2-0 win against Chivas USA Saturday. The Rapids got on the board early when, in the 16th minute, defender Tyson Wahl recovered a Chivas clearance and crossed it into the penalty box. Midfielder Martin Rivero hauled in the cross and fired it past Chivas goalkeeper Tim Melia for his second goal of the year.

Later in the first half, Rapids forward Kamani Hill connected with an Omar Cummings cross and headed it into the goal, giving the Rapids their final margin of victory.

The win was the tenth of the season for Colorado, who are seventh in the MLS Western Conference with just one game left to play. Colorado is eight points out of the final playoff position and will not play in the postseason. Chivas USA, who are last in the Western Conference, dropped their eighteenth game of the campaign.
