Might a championship be in the air Sunday night? The Colorado Rapids could bring home an MLS Cup from Toronto early in the week. The Denver Broncos and the Colorado Buffaloes both picked up much needed wins over the weekend, but did they improve their lots significantly? This week's rankings:

Melo's future, as always, continues to hang over the team.

The Avalanche are 3-1 over their last four games with impressive wins over Columbus and St. Louis, and then there was that amazing comeback against the San Jose Sharks last night. Injuries have hurt this team, but the players keep on going. is finally practicing again, which works out well. Peter Budaj has started every game since Anderson went down on Oct. 26. They are only two points behind the Vancouver Canucks for the lead in the Northwest division.
